Born in Kolkata, brought up and educated in Bangalore and now resides in Aamchi Mumbai. He likes to
carry the flavor of all the three cities up his sleeve and in his heart.
Started out as a child actor when he was seven in a play called Jungle Book, where he played the role of
Mowgli. Got attracted to the craft of acting while doing a play called Look Back in Anger, where he was
cast as Jimmy Porter. The play was staged by his Bangalore based theatre group, Twisted Arrows. He
says the role changed his life immensely. He then did a lot of theatre in Bangalore. When he moved to
Mumbai with his family, he started working in his dad's jute lifestyle store. He did his first play in
Mumbai where he essayed the role of Kabir in a play called Kabira khada Bazaar mein, staged by his
Mumbai group, Adaakaari Troop. He acts in short films too and dreams to work in feature length films
As a writer, he first wrote a poem called Promises, when he was sixteen and since then fell in love with
the art of writing poetry. He also writes on different topics ranging from women centric issues to movie
reviews. He plans to write a book sometime in the future too. He is also a spoken word artist and has
performed for different platforms in Mumbai and Bangalore.
