LG has just launched the bigger brother of its flagship LG G6 – The LG G6 Plus.
The Plus variant of the G6 offers more in terms of RAM, internal storage, and color variants.
LG is apparently following the footsteps of the rival companies which take great benefit by launching different variants of their flagship lineups – Take the Samsung Galaxy S8 for an example.
What’s new in the LG G6 Plus?
The major difference between the standard G6 and the newly unveiled G6 Plus variant is the added storage space both in terms of RAM and the onboard storage.
The LG G6 Plus offers 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal memory as compared to 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal space in the LG G6 unit.
Strangely, the screen size is still the same, something everyone had expected to be bigger considering the “Plus”
As a matter of fact, almost all the specifications in the LG G6 Plus are identical to the original G6:
- 5.7-inch QHD+ display with rounded corners
- Snapdragon 821 chipset under the hood
- Dual-camera setup on the rear with two 13-megapixel cameras
- A 5-megapixel front camera
- Waterproof (IP68 rating)
- A fingerprint scanner at the back of the device
- 3,300 mAh battery

This is rather a strange thing considering it to be a beefed up variant. A Snapdragon 835 chipset would have been so much better which got left out in the LG G6 because of the early launch it had.
Nevertheless, the 821 chipset is still not at all a bad option for a solid performance and the G6 Plus will certainly prove to be a performer.
LG G6 Plus: New color variants
Two new colors are introduced with the G6 Plus in addition to the existing color scheme of the G6 – Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold.
LG G6 Plus: Expected Price
The official price of the new smartphone has not been revealed yet, but it will cost around $100 more than the LG G6. If you are not satisfied with the storage options available with the G6, you might want to spend 100 bucks more to get the Plus variant.
