Max is the new big.
When Xiaomi launched the first Max smartphone dubbed the Xiaomi Mi Max, everyone was in a state of confusion.
So many questions kept on arriving. Whether the device was a monster of a smartphone or a dwarfed tablet, whether the Mi Max will fit into the pockets or not, and what not. Strangely, the device passed almost all the tests with flying colors.
Owing to the success the Mi Max saw, Xiaomi is back with the second generation of the monster among smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2: Design overview
The Mi Max 2 looks absolutely stunning and indeed feels like a significant upgrade over the previous iteration.
The overall looks and the design of the design have seen a makeover. Unlike the earlier Mi Max, the Mi Max 2 has curvier edges which provide way better a grip and are pleasing to the eye as well.
There are antenna strips on the top and the bottom of the device. The SIM tray is on the left of the device while the power button and the volume rockers sit on the right-hand side. There are a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 12MP rear Sony IMX386 Camera with dual-tone flash on the back.
At the bottom, you would find the usual Mi branding.
Two vents for speaker output are provided at the bottom of the device surrounding the USB Type-C charging port.
On the top of the device, you would see an IR Blaster along with the secondary microphone. Sadly, there is no place for a 3.5mm headphone jack this time.
