Last year did not turn out quite well for Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was a pretty capable device with amazing flagship specifications.
The battery fiasco made Samsung stop the production of the Note 7 lineup which gave the company a huge setback both financially and in terms of the brand loyalty.
Samsung, however, has come up strong ever since. The Samsung Galaxy S8 lineup of smartphones is by far the most amazing phones we have come across. Owing to the success, Samsung has finally decided to bring the Note 7 smartphones back from the dead.
When will the refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 be launched?
The expected date of launch of the refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is July 7 which is not very far from now. There were earlier rumors which suggested the name of the refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 be Samsung Galaxy Note 7R. This, however, does not appear to be true as the latest rumors almost confirm the device would be dubbed the Samsung Galaxy FE.
What is the expected price of the refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7?
The expected price of the device is said to be a tad bit lesser than the earlier predicted price.
Reports say that the refurbished Note 7 would fall under the 700,000 KRW ($616 USD) mark. The smartphone is supposedly going to be launched in South Korea only, as of now. But one can always import it if the device turns out to be good.
Specifications of the refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7
As far as specifications of the Note 7 are concerned, one can expect nothing short of some top-notch flagship specifications. The culprit (The battery), however, has been reportedly decreased somewhat.
The refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will reportedly feature a smaller battery, other specifications, however, are more or less the same.
That being said, the refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has the tag “refurbished” with it meaning the specifications the “FE” would carry would be 10 months old at least on the hardware front.
So, whether the Note 7 would hold its relevance in the current time or not – only time would tell.
The Note 7 is said to be having
- a 3,200 mAh battery
- Exynos 8890 chipset
- QHD AMOLED display
- 12MP primary camera
- 4 GB of RAM
- 64 GB of internal storage
- IP68 water resistance rating
- Android Nougat 7.1.1
The refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 or the Galaxy Note FE is also going to pack in the Samsung Bixby with itself giving the end user one more reason to buy the smartphone.
This is rather a reassuring feat by Samsung considering the device is an old one and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is just around the corner as well.
There is no denying the fact that the Note 7 was one of the most amazing phones back in the day. But whether it is relevant at the current time or not is probably the biggest question that would come to the mind while buying it. The slashed price point and the added software features might help, but again, why settle for the 7th iteration in the series when the 8th is already on its way.
