Skip through the gaming clutter and play these 4 awesome Steam games right now!
If you’re a PC gamer, odds are you’re familiar with the overwhelming amount of games that Steam has to offer.
A huge backlog of games can be frustrating, that’s why we’ve compiled a handy list of games that you definitely should grab from Steam right now
Steam Games #1 – H1Z1: King of the Kill
Originally started as an open-world zombie survival game, H1Z1 found new life with the PvP focused H1Z1: King of the Kill. The game is basically a “Battle Royal” type game whereby a number of players are dropped into a location and have to kill each other until only one remains.
Despite its lack of polish, H1Z1 has a certain charm to it that’s evident in the number of YouTube compilations and Twitch streamers playing the game. PC gamers with a thirst for PvP madness will definitely enjoy their time in H1Z1: King of the Kill.

Steam Games #2 – PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS
While H1Z1 may have started the whole “Battle Royal” genre, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) is on its way to perfecting it. A seemingly overnight success, gamers around the world are obsessed with PUBG’s take on the PvP survival genre.
A simple search on Twitch will show the number of people streaming the game and more often than not, it’s an experience to watch.
The game itself is still in early access but it’s already proving to be quite an addictive gameplay with players trying to survive and eliminate each other in fast-and-furious 20-minute matches.
Steam Games #3 – Friday the 13th: The GameFriday the 13th: The Game occupies a unique space in the gaming world in that it’s a 7v1 asymmetrical multiplayer with elements of horror in it. The horror aspect? Being terrorized by Jason or terrorizing the camp counselors as Jason.
Developers IlFonic manages to capture the terror and irrational decisions that come with being a counselor in a Friday the 13th movie or the gratifying feeling of smashing a helpless camp counselor against the fireplace as Jason.
While the game has suffered some bugs recently (namely connection issues and weird glitches), it still doesn’t detract from the fun of the game.
Steam Games #4 – Star Trek: Bridge Crew
If you happen to have an HTC Vive or an Oculus Rift lying around, then you owe it to yourself to try out Star Trek: Bridge Crew. Star Trek fans (or Trekkies) will have a blast living out their dreams of being USS crew with the USS Aegis, while those who aren’t familiar can join in the fun without needing to worry about the lore of the series.
As it is with VR games, the most fun to be had is when you join in with a group of strangers playing as either a Captain, Helmsman, Tactical, or an Engineer, and try to figure out how to navigate the USS Aegis, fight off enemy ships, and keeping peace with the Klingons. Whatever you do though, don’t end up like a Red Shirt. They all eventually die.
