Without a super villain, a superhero can not exist
True, as Mr. Newton has rightly said, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”
Both the action and the reaction depend on each other for their existence.
The case of superheroes and super-villains is no different. We tend to love our superheroes so much, sometimes we fail to give due credits to their arch rivals.
In this list of the best bad boys in DC comics, we are going to list some of the baddest guys in the DC universe, who make their superheroes what they are today.
The list of the best bad boys in DC comics entry #1: The Joker
If we are to make a list of the best villains ever, we could not think of anyone else to start the list with but the Joker.
He’s the best example of how a supervillain should be.
He first appeared in the comic book Batman(April 25, 1940).
With a warped, sadistic sense of humor, he has always had a love-hate relationship with the DC Universe fans.
The Joker character has seen many transformations throughout his journey – from a goofy prankster to a much darker, serious supervillain. No matter what, he has always been a pain in the teeth for Batman.
The Joker does not have any superpowers, he uses his expertise in chemicals to create various poisonous gases which he uses on his enemies.
Whatever the situation be, he always has a backup plan.

In addition to his meets with the Batman, The Joker has been involved with the Superman and the Wonder Woman in various comic book storylines.
He has been involved with a wicked sense of a relationship with Harley Quinn, who, herself is in The list of the best bad boys in DC comics entry.
The list of the best bad boys in DC comics entry #2: Lex Luthor
Seen this guy? Lex Luthor used to be Superman’s best friend once.
A turn of events made Lex Luthor Superman’s worst rival.
Lex Luthor is a super-rich, power-hungry American, an ingenious engineer, and one of the most intelligent brains in the world.
Though Mr. Luthor does not have any superpowers, he shows up with his fancy Warsuit at times.
The reason why he is so effective against the Superman is the Mighty Kryptonite in his possession, which is Superman’s biggest weakness.
The reason as to why Lex Luthor has made it to The list of the best bad boys in DC comics is quite simple – he is a pure evil genius.
As a matter of fact, he ranks 4th on IGN’s list of the Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All Time.
The list of the best bad boys in DC comics entry #3: Reverse Flash
Reverse Flash is actually not a single supervillain. The name has been used by a vast majority of them from time to time.
The basic strength of all of them, however, is The God-like speed they possess.
Having the superspeed with them, they just do not want to settle down as the second fastest man alive in the world – the biggest reason they consider The Flash their arch nemesis.
Thaddeus Thawne AKA inertia
So, in case you are a fan of The Flash, you MUST hate these guys.
The list of the best bad boys in DC comics entry #4: Lobo
The Lobo character is one of the worst supervillains of all time. He is bad, he is mean, and he is grim.
Driving a demonic motorcycle, The Czarnian Lobo has exceptional strength.
Lobo is a fond lover of pure violence, and he loves killing people. His name translates as:
He who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it
He is arrogant, self-centered, and focuses only on giving himself the pleasure of hurting people.
Superman being Lobo’s prime rival superhero, he has also fought with the Batman and the Green Lantern(Guy Gardener) on occasions.
The list of the best bad boys in DC comics entry #5: Harley Quinn
Seen Suicide Squad? Loved Harley Quinn? Well, she might be pretty, but she is lethal.
And she has proved it on numerous occasions.
Harley Quinn is an accomplice and a dedicated lover of The Joker, whom she met as a doctor while working at the Arkham Asylum in the Gotham City.
The persona of The Joker took her away, and she transformed herself from a well-educated psychiatrist to Harley Quinn.
She has always troubled The Batman with her little pranks, and her trademark Hammer is mightier than the Thor’s Mjoinir.
Being a full-timer in the Batman comics, she is also involved in various alternate storylines like the Suicide Squad and the Gotham City Sirens.
